How We Grade Discs

At Seasoned Plastic, we keep it simple: no sugarcoating, no guessing games. Every disc gets photographed and graded so you know exactly what’s in your bag before it ships.

Here’s our scale!

🐣 Prospect (10/10 – Brand New)

  • Never thrown, rim is spotless.
  • Stamp still shines like it just left the factory.
  • Waiting for its first round, first tree kiss, first chain hit.
A clean slate with all the potential in the world.

🌟 Like New (9/10)

  • Maybe tossed once or twice.
  • Stamp sharp, rim clean.
  • Flies the same as if you pulled it off the pro shop wall.
For players who want fresh plastic without paying full retail.

✨ Seasoned (7–8/10)

  • Light wear—small scuffs, maybe faint ink.
  • Stamp shows some love, rim has minor marks.
  • Broken in just enough to fly true.
The sweet spot: already worked in, game-ready.

💥 Beat Up (5–6/10)

  • Plenty of scratches, faded stamp, likely inked.
  • Rim shows its miles, trees definitely involved.
  • Flies looser—great for turnovers, hyzer flips, or rollers.
Not pretty, but dependable utility plastic.

🏆 Collector’s Closet (Varies)

  • Out-of-production molds, rare stamps, unique finds.
  • Condition varies—could be fresh, could be seasoned.
For collectors and flex-throwers alike—grab it before it’s gone.

🪵 Shelf of Shame (Playable but Ugly)

  • Heavy ink, gouges, or battle scars.
  • Definitely seen sidewalks and trees.
  • Still flies, just not winning any beauty contests.
Bargain bin heroes that get the job done.

Why It Matters

Every disc has a story — scuffs, tree kisses, writing, and all. We don’t hide that, we celebrate it. What you see in the photos is exactly what shows up in your mailbox.

Discs with history. Grading with honesty. That’s the Seasoned Plastic way.
